The start of "Project Freedom," a U.S. mission to guide ships through the Strait of Hormuz, saw Iran respond with strikes on commercial ships and U.S. allies in the region. The Pentagon described it as "harassing fire" and says it is below the threshold needed to end the ceasefire and resume fighting with Iran. Iran's parliament speaker says the U.S. violated the ceasefire and is jeopardizing shipping.
